Mullen Leadership Recruitment is a newly established firm built on 25+ years of experience and born out of the knowledge that public impact executive search requires a custom approach.

It’s why our team is dedicated to the sector that serves the greater good, working only with organizations that are subject to significant public scrutiny. These include publicly funded, government, not-for-profit, regulatory, and philanthropic/charitable organizations.

At Mullen Leadership Recruitment, we don’t just say “for the greater good.” This is something we take to heart. One of our founding principles is actively participating in and supporting the communities where we work and live. We directly support community organizations through sponsorships and the purchasing of event tickets, and by volunteering for causes that make our community better.

  • Board recruitment – Understanding that board recruitment is different from a private sector search, we successfully navigate dealing with multiple decision makers, public scrutiny, a complex ecosystem of community partners and interested parties, and elevated expectations and considerations.
  • Unconscious bias training – We work with selection committees and hiring managers to ground engagements in industry-leading diversity, equity, and inclusion practices by offering unconscious bias training.
  • Onboarding – Psychometric assessments for new candidates help identify how to maximize their strengths as they onboard into their new roles.
  • Candidate integration coaching – We provide coaching to support candidates in creating and executing an effective integration plan. This increases the retention rate of new hires and supports their success in their new role.
